Architects <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/authors\/enric-tous-i-carbo\">Enric Tous<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/authors\/josep-maria-fargas-i-falp\">Josep Maria Fargas<\/a><\/strong> built some of their most significant works here, including the bank and office buildings that brought this Catalan architectural partnership to prominence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The route also allows visitors to observe some of the local references that may have influenced their work, including works by members of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/authors\/grup-r\">Grup R<\/a><\/strong> and by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/authors\/antoni-gaudi-i-cornet\">Gaud\u00ed<\/a><\/strong> himself, whose influence is particularly evident by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/authors\/tous--fargas\">Tous &amp; Fargas<\/a><\/strong> on the fa\u00e7ade of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/works\/banca-catalana\">Banca Catalana<\/a><\/strong>. Along the route, visitors will encounter the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/works\/banco-pastor\">Banco Pastor<\/a><\/strong>, Banca Catalana, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/works\/banc-industrial-de-bilbao\">Banco Industrial de Bilbao<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/works\/banc-industrial-de-catalunya\">Banc Industrial de Catalunya<\/a><\/strong>, which stand out not only for their reformulation of the banking architecture typology of the time, but especially for their use of technology and innovative construction systems to propose symbolic images representative of the institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The itinerary also runs alongside other works from the same period, making it possible to observe the contrast between the idealism of Tous &amp; Fargas\u2019s work and some significant examples of what is considered the realism of the Barcelona School. Opposite the works of Tous &amp; Fargas or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/authors\/xavier-busquets-i-sindreu\">Xavier Busquets<\/a><\/strong>, one can observe buildings by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/authors\/correa-mila-arquitectes\">Correa and Mil\u00e0<\/a><\/strong> or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/authors\/mbm-arquitectes\">MBM<\/a><\/strong>.
