As a complement, the new <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/works\/marina-de-palamos\">Marina de Palam\u00f3s<\/a><\/strong>\u2014a recent project by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/authors\/emf\">Estudio Mart\u00ed Franch<\/a><\/strong>, located at the foot of a section of the path\u2014and, by the authors themselves, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/works\/restauracio-paisatgistica-del-cami-de-ronda-de-palamos\">landscape restoration of the Palam\u00f3s coastal path have been added<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Starting at Port Bo beach in Calella de Palafrugell, known for its arches, we head towards the port of Malaespina. After crossing Canadell beach, we continue along the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/works\/cami-de-ronda-de-calella-a-llafranc\">coastal path from Calella to Llafranc<\/a><\/strong>, passing Tres Pins and the watchtower dating from 1597, before reaching Llafranc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the south of Calella we find the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/works\/jardi-botanic-de-cap-roig\">Cap Roig botanical garden<\/a><\/strong>, created by the exiled Tsarist Nicolai Woevodski and his wife Dorothy Webster between 1931 and 1975. Dorothy and a team of local gardeners were responsible for landscaping the seven hectares located on a cliff and planting Mediterranean, tropical and subtropical flora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a report on the landscape restoration project for the Palam\u00f3s coastal path, \u2018the aim of the project is to connect the existing sections into a single continuous path linking the town, its nearby beaches and the Natural Park, while preserving and improving the coastal landscape for decades to come\u2019. The Marina de Palam\u00f3s yacht harbour enriches the coastal heritage through the judicious use of pergolas, paths and flowerbeds with plants adapted to the marine environment. This comfortable and practical site is bordered to the north by several coves served by the coastal path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/works\/urbanitzacio-sagaro\">S&#8217;Agar\u00f3 residential development<\/a><\/strong>, designed by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/authors\/rafael-maso-i-valenti\">Rafael Mas\u00f3<\/a><\/strong> for the industrialist Josep Ensesa in 1917, the architect organised the land with public spaces \u2014squares, stairways, facilities, etc.\u2014 integrated with plots for villas such as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/works\/senya-blanca\">Senya Blanca<\/a><\/strong>, for Mr Ensesa, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/works\/casa-rafael-maso\">another for himself<\/a><\/strong>, as\u00a0well\u00a0as\u00a0the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/works\/hostal-de-la-gavina\">Hostal de la Gavina<\/a><\/strong>. After Mas\u00f3&#8217;s death, the architect <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/authors\/francesc-folguera-i-grassi\">Francesc Folguera<\/a><\/strong> took charge of interventions such as the church and the coastal path, where both travertine and wind-deformed pine trees play an important role, and from where you can see a seven-arched <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/works\/loggia-de-senya-blanca\">loggia<\/a><\/strong> originally designed by Mas\u00f3 for the Senya Blanca garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/works\/jardins-de-santa-clotilde\">Santa Clotilde Gardens<\/a><\/strong> in Lloret de Mar, begun in 1919 and a clear example of a <em>Noucentista<\/em> garden, were designed by architect <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/authors\/nicolau-maria-rubio-i-tuduri\">Nicolau Maria Rubi\u00f3 i Tudur\u00ed<\/a><\/strong>\u2014a great admirer of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/authors\/jeanclaudenicolas-forestier\">Jean-Claude-Nicolas Forestier<\/a><\/strong>\u2014in collaboration with the owner, Dr Ra\u00fcl Roviralta, a man of the world. In the words of Josep Pla, \u2018the grand staircase, flanked by towering cypress trees, facing the tip of Santa Cristina, makes an indelible impression\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Created in 1921 by the industrialist and naturalist Carles Faust i Schmidt at the northern end of Blanes, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/works\/jardi-botanic-mar-i-murtra\">Mar i Murtra botanical garden<\/a><\/strong> was admired by Pla, who dedicated a few words of admiration to it in his 1941 book \u2018La Costa Brava\u2019. It shares its location with the other gardens on the route. On the slopes of Sant Francesc mountain and down to the cliffs, there are plants from various origins, in line with the aim of acclimatising vegetation \u2014especially tropical and temperate\u2014 to the Blanes coast. This evocative setting is accompanied by the architectural project of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquitecturacatalana.cat\/en\/authors\/josep-goday-i-casals\">Josep Goday i
